Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities:

To manage the Award Leads and Instructional Designers across our programmes ensuring excellent staff development opportunities are on offer and that School of Tech remains a great place to work
Take ownership of the development of all curriculum content (across all programmes – Apprenticeship and non-Apprenticeship) ensuring that this is developed to the highest standards

To have oversight of our Apprenticeship Programmes (including any non-teaching modules) to ensure they are meeting the specific requirements of the Apprenticeship Standards

To have full ownership for all project and dissertation units across our programmes, ensuring consistency in scope, design and delivery; ensuring these are clear and easily understandable
Be involved in the BPP University validation processes for new programmes

To ensure our programmes represent the very best in learning design, taking into latest developments

To ensure our delivery methods are utilising the latest learning technologies and are providing an outstanding experience to our learners that maximises their engagement
To represent the School at relevant University and Group Boards

To work closely with the Commercial Director to ensure all marketing material relating to our programmes is fully updated for any programme developments
Remain abreast of developments in curriculum development and design within the Higher Education (and related apprenticeships) space.

Candidate criteria

Candidate Criteria

Essential

Degree or equivalent level qualification
Experience of working at a senior level in an academic environment, taking ownership and accountability for actions and responsibilities

Thorough understanding and experience of curriculum design and development ideally within an HE environment
Experience of designing and developing high quality programmes of study

Demonstrable experience of managing teams in curriculum development with the ability to engage, enthuse and influence others
Strong interpersonal skills with the credibility and gravitas to collaborate effectively with other teams and departments

Proven commitment to, and implementation of, continuous improvement with an openness to new ideas and technologies and an active interest in new research
Project management skills with a commitment to driving forward, and delivering on, complex projects

Experience of working in Technology related sector
