Title: Resident, Virtual, and Mobile Education Coordinator
Job summary:
Under the general direction of the Res/MET Support Team Lead, and as part of a 6-person team, the Education Coordinator will focus on the coordination requirements for the Institute of Security Governance’s (ISG) Resident, Virtual and Mobile Education activities. This is a subcontractor position with Buaya Pacific Management, providing support to the Institute for Security Governance in Monterey, CA.
Duties
Resident Course Support:
Throughout the year, ISG conducts education and professional development courses to International Military Students (IMS) on a variety of topics. A course will have between 15 and 40 international participants. Support includes tasks and activities prior to the course, during course execution and completion. ISG conducts 28-34 Resident courses per year.

Alternate (Virtual) Education Delivery (Online/Distance Learning-Synchronous and Asynchronous):
The contractor shall input and monitor government approved course related information into online learning management system such as Sakai, Blackboard, Globalnet for each virtual course. Data includes information such as instructor biographies, synchronous course materials, and asynchronous course related information. The government expects to execute approximately 10 online/distance learning courses per year.
Mobile Education Team Support:
Mobile Education Teams (METs) are a single or short series of security cooperation workshops that center on a particular requirement or interest tailored to a partner nation and are conducted around the world. MET support requires tasks and activities prior to, during the execution, and after the event has completed.
MET coordination requires clear and frequent communication – both verbally and email – to ensure that all stakeholder organizations have a common understanding of MET status, requirements, and issues. In addition to pre-event coordination, MET preparation involves the development of course material and ensuring that said material is properly assembled and shipped to the Partner Nation where the course will be conducted. This includes updating student rosters and informing stakeholders, tracking country responses and documenting regional participants, emailing course descriptions and staffing schedules, tracking questions and requests for action to the Course Lead for their decision/action, drafting and/or sending participant invitations, sending administrative instructions to traveling personnel, monitoring and updating weekly report of shipment and receipt of course materials, reviewing and updating PowerPoint presentations, submitting electronic files for printing, printing course materials as needed, assembling course materials for shipment, coordinating delivery and tracking shipping progress.
While the contractor will not travel on MET events, they will continue to support the travel team by providing reach-back support during MET execution (e.g., troubleshooting, supporting travel team requests). Post-MET support includes distributing, uploading, and archiving end of event materials and support, along with analyzing, documenting and calculating course evaluations and reports.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
A bachelor’sdegree in the discipline of business administration, political science, public policy, international relations, communications, or related field. Significant Military experience can serve as a substitute for an undergraduate.
Minimum of one year of recent experience working in administrative and clerical support functions. Recent experience is defined as within the last two years.
