bp Hiring for Finance & Segmentation Analyst Job at Melbourne Full Time

Reporting to the Program & Performance manager, the Financial & Segmentation Analyst is responsible for the financial modelling and analysis of bp network investments, tracking and monitoring of plans, programs and project endeavors in the areas of commercial growth and maintain, regulatory compliance, and asset life cycle modelling.

Key accountabilities –

• Responsible for supporting & implementing projects to assure operational, financial, and other activities are undertaken safely and in accordance with bp’s GIAAP’s investment framework.
• Undertake ad hoc analytical tasks, including network segmentation/analysis and asset/network performance for both new and existing endeavors.
• Leverage internal & external relationships to ensure excellence in operational handover of bp’s Growth Strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout all aspects of business operations through project and asset lifecycle analysis.
• Assist business leads in annual budgeting-based work, utilising existing and new asset financial models wherever possible. Review cash, asset and commercial lifecycle modelling.
• Work with business leads to inform schedules, time, and cost phasing, including project budgets and CTR planning as required

About you:
As the successful candidate you will have –

• Bachelor’s Degree in either Accounting, Economics, or Finance field.
• Understanding of the use of GIAAPs and CVP processes.
• Experience in data science or data analytics – Desirable but not essential
• Experience working with performance or finance units with a track record of engagement with portfolios and programs.
• Performance driven, with a passion for driving continuous improvement innovation and transformation.
• Ability to work with a broad range of business stakeholders, including leadership.
• Strong commercial and business acumen.
• Experience in segmentation analysis, economic modelling, SQL, VB, considered – highly desirable but not essential.
