About the role:

The Senior Finance Officer – Infrastructure manages the financial operations for the various Infrastructure funding streams. This position works closely with the Finance team and is the conduit for budget and financial reporting for the Infrastructure team. This role is primarily responsible for implementing controls and improvement in budget development and tracking, ledger reconciliation, monthly forecasting and for developing processes that improve the integrity and usability of financial data and the end to end processes. This position is integral in the uplift of financial management practices that support the leadership team’s decision making.

Reporting to the Deputy Director Infrastructure this role is expected to actively participate in and contribute to a cohesive and high performing team and work cooperatively with others within the Infrastructure portfolio and the wider Institute.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Accounting Diploma or Degree (or working toward) with relevant accounting experience of at least 3 years
• Education sector experience in a Facilities environment is highly desirable
