Boulo Solutions Hiring for Retail Customer Service at Birmingham, AL Full Time

Boulo is helping our client, a premium and Mountain Brook-based outdoor apparel and hunting clothing brand, in their search for a Retail Customer Service Representative to attract and acquire new customers and help retain loyal customers. You’ll interact one-on-one with current customers, and also work closely with digital, design, and marketing teams to assess customer feedback. The candidate will be part of a team that covers phones and emails remotely between the hours of 8-4pm CST Monday-Friday with the ability to work in the store in Mountain Brook one morning or afternoon per week.

Employment Type: Part-Time, 20 hours per week
Flexibility: Hybrid with in-store hours one day per week
Pay: $25 per hour
Benefits: 60% merchandise discount

Ideal Candidates for the Retail Customer Service Representative:

• Based in the Birmingham, AL metro area
• Experience in customer service or public-facing roles
• Experience/Interest in apparel and retail
• Able to use multiple digital platforms to perform your duties (experience with Zendesk and Shopify preferred but not required)
• Represent the brand with friendly, professional, and knowledgeable verbal and written communications while being able to adhere to policies.
• Able to develop a thorough understanding of our products to assist our customers with questions about sizing, correct use, materials, etc.
• Able to write in a clear and concise manner, with excellent grammar
• Able to listen with empathy and understand customer frustrations
• A quiet background (If you have small children at home during the workday this may not be the best fit for you.)

Responsibilities of the Retail Customer Service Representative:

• Interact with customers via email and phone
• Communicate customers’ experiences and understand when to escalate concerns
• Communicate daily with the head of customer experience as needed to resolve inquiries
• Identify where the customer experience and/or product could use improvement
