Boston University Hiring for ASSISTANT DIRECTOF OF CONTEXTUAL EDUCATION, School of Theology at Boston, MA Full Time

The Assistant Director will assist the Director of Contextual Education in organizing, administrating, and advancing the Boston University School of Theology’s Contextual Education Program. This program provides graduate-level seminarians with internship opportunities and contextually-based projects to enhance their training as religious leaders and/or scholars, while emphasizing students holistic professional formation and personal vocational development. The work of the Assistant Director includes the identification and onboarding of site partnerships, resourcing students with internship and project opportunities, providing training for supervisors and small group leaders, and offering clear and effective communication to all constituents.

Essential Functions include: Assist the Director of Contextual Education in building relationships with religious communities, service and advocacy organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other sites for student contextual education placements.

Assist the Director of Contextual Education in developing, organizing, and implementing the Contextual Education Program for first-level masters students.

Assist the Director of Contextual Education in the distribution of Springboard Funding to current students for student-initiated contextual learning opportunities

Required Skills

Graduate-level theological education and 3-5 years of experience.

Excellent organizational skills.
