WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Senior Specialist will take ownership of the full lifecycle recruiting needs for one of the firms most rapidly growing Practice Areas (PA) – Climate & Sustainability (C&S). This role will report to the Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) Experienced Hire Lead, with a dotted line to the Asia Pacific (AP) TA C&S Manager.

Our recently established C&S Practice Area was the firms fastest growing practice in 2021 and is paramount to the firms ongoing dedication and commitment to solving complex social impact issues, in aid of driving and accelerating NetZero. The TA Senior Specialist will play an integral role in engaging strategically with talent across the ANZ region to build and maintain strong pipelines of Sustainability Consultants, who will help our clients transform their business models to optimize for social and business value.

Currently, our Climate & Sustainability practice includes more than 100 senior leaders in Asia Pacific alone. Their projects address the full gamut of climate and sustainability topics, from decarbonisation and sustainable supply chains to green finance and adaptation & resilience. They are deeply embedded at the top leadership levels of large organisations involved in industrial goods, energy, finance, technology media & telecommunications and the public sector, as well as consumer and health care. As Asia-Pacific grows in global significance, our goal is to grow our Climate & Sustainability practice and significantly ramp-up our climate and sustainability work in the region.
As this newly created role continues to expand and evolve over time, the TA Senior Specialist will grow to partner effectively with the ANZ TA Team to support broader recruiting efforts for Expert & Generalist Consultants.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

Stakeholder management

• Manage key stakeholders as a trusted partner and valued advisor, building a deep understanding of BCG’s businesses, role requirements and desired candidate profiles
• Single point of contact to ANZ C&S leadership relating to headcount planning, implementing regional and local recruitment strategies and initiatives

Talent Sourcing

• Create, develop, and manage sourcing strategies to build strong talent pipelines to fill current and future roles
• Identify, proactively source, cultivate, assess, and manage high quality candidates through the full recruitment lifecycle
• Drive diversity recruiting initiatives and efforts
• Articulate and present opportunities at BCG and the candidate value proposition in appropriate talent markets

Recruitment Strategy

• Help shape and implement the recruiting strategy by leading initiatives and contributing to global projects
• Market mapping of relevant companies, sectors, and geographies, to identifying target organisations, networks, and talent pools
• Manage candidates effectively through the offer process with a focus on candidate experience

Metrics & Reporting

• Review key metrics and performance measures to make recommendations for enhancement
• Proactively identify, implement, and drive improvements in efficiency in the recruitment process, applying analytics and a data driven approach including embedding global best practices

Teaming

• Embed global best practices and drive operational effectiveness through process improvement and ongoing coaching and mentoring of key stakeholders
• As a key member of the regional C&S team (with your dotted reporting line to the C&S TA Manager), attend regular team meetings and play an active role in updating on local progress, share and adopt best practices, contribute to team knowledge and capability building and proactive candidate sharing across all the AP systems.
• Partner with the C&S Regional Coordinator for C&S reporting on key metrics
• Partner with the C&S Regional Talent Sourcer to supplement the local talent pipeline

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Experience

• Significant experience in full lifecycle recruiting, ideally within a professional services environment
• Experience and proven success with creating direct sourcing strategies in identifying, attracting, and managing top talent from industry
• Demonstrate deep expertise of recruiting from active and passive candidate pools to deliver on high profile, difficult to fill, and often niche roles
• Experience managing multiple searches and competing demands
• Ability to build and maintain networks to leverage for search of qualified candidates; to stay up to date of new hiring industry practices/market intelligence; and capitalise on talent opportunities
• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive operational effectiveness specifically the development of innovative direct sourcing strategies
