Boston Consulting Group Hiring for Knowledge Director – Talent & Skills Full Time

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Knowledge Director (KD) inside BCG’s People and Organization (POP) Practice Area with a focus on the Talent & Skills topic, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, workshops, and other domain-specific accelerators). You will serve as content expert and advisor to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping to structure and solve complex client issues around talent & skills efforts. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

Internally, you will also support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, building workshops or knowledge sharing sessions, and developing marketing materials. Additionally, as a Knowledge Director, you will help lead/drive intellectual property & assets for the business and be responsible for onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise, as well as manage a medium-sized team of junior members.

In the People and Organization Practice Area, we focus on Organization Design & Operating Model, Talent & Skills, and Change Management, Culture, & Purpose. Within the Talent & Skills topic, we focus on delivering leading edge talent management solutions across the entire employee lifecycle. As KD, you will support across all domains, with a specific focus on integrating across Talent & Skills, including the talent lifecycle, skills assessment and work planning, talent attraction and sourcing, talent development, overall talent management, and (digital) upskilling at scale.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• At least 10-12 years people & organization related consulting experience, with expertise in Talent & Skills topics
• In lieu of sufficient consulting experience, require 12-14 years industry experience in similar focus areas, with demonstrated leadership role and responsibility for delivering output and impact
• Masters Degree with high academic achievements in Industrial/ Organizational psychology, org effectiveness, leadership, talent strategy, business strategy/ administration, economics, finance or other analytically-focused subjects
• Strong subject matter expertise on the areas within the talent and skills life cycle
• Track record of collaborative team management of 5+ direct s, with strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience of working in a matrix organization – and a passion for people development
• Prior experience scoping projects for themselves & others, managing large virtual teams, collaborating with peers to drive multidisciplinary projects, and multi-tasking to problem-solve personally & professionally
• Demonstrated international exposure and comfort in working via video/conferences with global team members / counter-parts
• Very strong analytic capability and conceptual skills, strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate (both verbally and in written form) with all levels of seniority, including a track record of collaboration across groups of varying level of seniority.
• Autonomous; self-motivated while being a trusted team player
• Ability to tolerate ambiguity and lead through change
• Fluency in English

As a Knowledge Director you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG’s Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA’s business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
