WHAT YOU’LL DO
IT at BCG is into its fifth year of foundational maturity with the strategic goal of becoming a best-in-class enabling function for BCG’s 2020 digital growth aspiration. We are looking to recruit an IT Transformation Change Manager within the Office of the CIO and Transformation team to effectively drive the change management of major cross-functional change efforts.
Given the importance of this high profile role, this position calls for a flexible, professional individual who has proven industry experience leading transformation and organizational change. The role calls for a balanced mix of operational, strategic, detail, people, and relationship orientated skillsets. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of an established, value-driven global organization, with ownership of key change projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess some key attributes including (but not limited to):
• An ability to build relationships, as you will partner closely with the IT Leadership Team and Transformation Leads to deliver effective change. You will need to foster strong local and global relationships and effective vendor management to ensure quality delivery, strong teaming, develop team skills and improve the overall success of projects and programs.
• Ability to connect to customers, understanding how the change will impact them, how we can connect with them on the change in a meaningful way, and ensure project approach connects outcomes with the community we are impacting.
• Be a natural leader and coach, with the ability to challenge and remedy obstacles to achieve successful outcomes and demonstrate value. You will need to understand BCG’s culture, how change affects the business, how negative implications can be avoided or minimized and how positive impact and value is promoted, understood and maximized.
• Become recognized as a trusted advisor to the IT Leadership and Transformation teams and be able to plan strategically and communicate exceptionally well.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
We are looking to recruit someone with a minimum of 7 years of experience working on transformational change programs in a global organization with outstanding organizational, communication, presentation and executive influence skills. You will need a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology or Social Sciences.
You will possess a balance of strong business process knowledge and Change Management skills with great communication skills. You will have experience and knowledge of Change Management principles, methodologies and tools with the ability to manage strategy development, work priorities and processes to ensure clear client focus and input. You will need the ability to apply strong business skills and judgment to complex and diverse situations with exceptional executive influence and strong partnering capability to demonstrate the value that IT delivers to BCG.
You will need to demonstrate solid judgment about priorities and timing with the ability to focus on the most critical issues that have the highest impact on the organization and business needs. It is likely that you will need to juggle multiple initiatives, and short and long-term priorities, so you will need to be able to work effectively with significant ambiguity and fluctuating priorities and constraints.
