Boston Consulting Group Hiring for IT SAP Architect II at Opelika, Alabama Full Time

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Be part of a team that is transforming BCG into a bionic company! We are seeking a leader to architect our SAP S/4 Hana solution as we modernize our core Financial platforms and transition to the cloud.

As IT SAP Architect II, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of SAP S/4 Hana as part of a multi-year ERP platform implementation. You will partner closely with the Global IT Director – Finance Systems Technical Architecture, global process owners, agile product teams, and an external System Integration (SI) partner to oversee planning, design, development and quality assurance of our foundational SAP solution. You will be part of a dedicated program team and work closely with related agile product teams and functional stakeholders to successfully introduce a cloud-based ERP into the BCG ecosystem. You will leverage industry best practices and your hands-on knowledge of SAP to best serve BCG’s business needs.

This role will focus on solution architecture activities for the core SAP solution as well as perform all other related tasks, such as:
• Working with the System Integration vendor and product teams to ensure effective solution design, architecture, and configuration of SAP foundations
• Partnering closely with Enterprise Architecture and the System Integration vendor to make key design decisions
• Ensuring data security and quality assurance best practices are followed throughout the program
• Ensuring proper root cause analysis and remediation is executed during any issues or incidents
• Partnering closely with data and integration architects to ensure continuity of designs across work streams with clear communication of design implications for downstream environments

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, required; major in Business, Finance, Technology or related field encouraged
• Language and global skills: High fluency English, global experience preferred
• 7+ years of work experience in SAP and the related ecosystem, with deep subject matter expertise across multiple modules, including:
• Multi-ledger GL / AR / AP / SPL
• SAP’s Business Technology Platform
• SAP’s data model and related integration impacts
• Hands-on experience architecting business application solutions, both custom and off-the-shelf, that include:
• Multi-currency / country scope at large scale
• Complex role and profile-based security
• High availability architectures
• Diverse eco-systems that required re-platforming of niche and legacy components
• Willingness and ability to create detailed solutions and troubleshoot issues when needed
• Experience working in various delivery methodologies
• Experience working with external partners (systems integrators)
• Strong technical competence, with the ability to rapidly learn new tools and technologies
• Flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities
