Boston Consulting Group Hiring for IT Product Engineer – Legal Operations at Boston, Massachusetts Full Time

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful implementation, configuration and operations of software solutions supporting the firm’s Legal function, with a focus on software-as-a-service platforms. Working in an Agile squad environment, the candidate will be a hands-on contributor to all aspects of the project delivery cycle. As a key technical resource, you will work closely with other groups in enabling new functionality, assisting with platform configurations, helping to define sprints, and partnering with members of the functional team and product analysts to define requirements. The candidate will provide operational support within the Legal Operations squad as well as perform all other related tasks, such as
• Enable worldwide elections for firm leadership positions
• Administer legal compliance processes such as our Insider Trading Policy compliance acknowledgements with all employees
• Facilitate the accurate and timely collection of data for insurance carriers
• Deliver additional products to meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Work with vendors on tool modifications, configurations, technical support issues and future software upgrades
• Lead quality assurance activities to ensure stability and accuracy of systems during any system or environment changes
• Use industry standards to ensure version controls are followed during each project or small enhancement updates
• Perform technical analysis of both packaged software solutions and custom-built applications
• Assist and provide technical support on issues, to ensure proper root cause analysis and quick remediation
• Work collaboratively with team in supporting the current application environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• College degree and 5+ years of experience in a technical analyst or similar role, either in a commercial IT setting or in consulting
• Proven ability to understand and capture business requirements and implement those requirements in a product
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance best practices
• Experience working in an Agile team on critical line-of-business applications
• Experience in working with cloud-based (SaaS) products
• Experience with database query language such as SQL is preferred
• Good understanding of security best practices
• Strong technical competence, with the ability to rapidly learn new tools and technologies
• Able to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities
