Boston Consulting Group Hiring for IT Manager – BCG FED at Washington, D.C. Full Time

WHAT YOU’LL DO The Fed IT Manager will lead BCG’s Federal (BCG Fed) IT Team contributing to strategic direction and overseeing daily operations including hardware, mobile, end user support, data analytics, technical integrations, application management and third-party providers. The IT Manager will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction, as set by BCG Fed leadership and BCG Inc, and aligning those goals with client requirements to deliver an exceptional end user experience. Your duties will include: Develop, manage, and direct an IT team which may include the use of third-party resources (i.e. contractors, service providers, etc.) Ensure team & resources align towards business goals/priorities Manage, monitor, and implement technologies to enable the business Proactively work toward optimizing the environment for change and growth Develop and drive the BCG Fed IT roadmap to meet strategic goals and initiatives Coordinate with BGC Inc IT to ensure understanding of and alignment with overarching IT direction Drive end user adoption through development of a strategy and supporting materials to address training and awareness, onboarding / off-boarding, and other topics Develop and implement operating policies as they pertain to BCG Fed IT operations Remain current with the Fed IT architectural landscape and operating environment (government contracting) driving solutions to current and anticipated compliance challenges Manage and provide monthly reporting metrics on infrastructure usage and cost Identify and incorporate usability metrics and measure to monitor and improve user experience Operate in accordance with relevant industry standards and frameworks (i.e. Fedramp, NIST 800-171, CMMC, etc.) YOU’RE GOOD AT Communicating effectively with leadership, business service teams, external vendors, and technical staff Managing and coaching direct reports to ensure performance and professional growth Designing and implementing efficient processes to maximize team effectiveness and staff satisfaction Managing conflicting priorities and exercising excellent judgement in decision making and delegation Proactively and meticulously planning IT projects, communications and daily operations to avoid conflicts and manage constraints Strong comprehensive problem-solving skills to identify and solve issues quickly Ability to work well independently as well as part of a virtual, geographically dispersed team Effective handling of challenging problems with poise, tact, and patience, while demonstrating a sense of urgency Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and quality focused Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) Minimum of 8 years of IT experience and a strong background in IT infrastructure Minimum of 3 years in a people leadership role, supervising technology teams and overseeing large IT projects Proven project management experience, including the ability to successfully deliver while managing competing priorities and a challenging workload Experience with ITIL and ITSM practices Experience in Cloud Security Architecture (AWS, Google, Azure) (GCC Highly Preferred) Extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure services and technologies US Citizen capable of obtaining and holding a clearance YOU’LL WORK WITH You will be part of the BCG Fed management team, with dotted line reporting to the BCG Fed Business Management Senior Manager. You will collaborate with other BCG information technology teams such as Identity, Information Management, Hosting, Devices Team – Windows/Mac/Mobile, Security, Voice and Networking to ensure alignment with BCG’s overall IT architecture plan.
