Welcome to BCG Worldwide IT! We are seeking an IT Data Protection Architect to join our growing Information Protection team, and to be part of our newly formed Security Engineering Centre of Expertise practice.
You will be working in a Security Engineering, Architecture and Operations capacity to drive and support improvements, to our newly formed Cloud Protection capability within Information Protection, in areas such as Information Rights Management, Data Classification, Cloud Security Posture Management and DevSecOps.

You will:
• Work collaboratively with application development, data protection, information security, and risk management teams to understand and implement data and cloud security solutions
• Continuously improve and develop cloud security and data classification services based on input from a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, and technology teams as well as the IT industry at large
• Develop and manage the incident management of your services, ensuring security incident investigations are dealt in an effective and collaborative manner, with future automation in mind
• Drive vendor assessments, including proof of concepts and research into new security technologies
• Create and maintain technical service roadmaps pertaining to data and cloud Security
• Work in both a project and operational capacity
• Prepare and review monthly status reports and statistics

YOU’RE GOOD AT

• Verbal and written communication skills in English is required; command of additional languages will be considered a plus
• Successfully interfacing and connect with skilled technologists and non-technical stakeholders, including members of the C-suite
• Working in an Agile environment leveraging strong work management, organizational and planning skills
• Acting as a mentor and lead to other engineers, as part of a geographically dispersed team
• Negotiating and consensus building between stakeholders where competing priorities exist, providing well-honed influencing skills
• Effectively handling difficult and stressful situations with poise, tact and patience, while demonstrating a sense of urgency

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• 7+ years of security engineering and/or application support experience within a large scale and globally distributed environment
• Extensive knowledge of a globally distributed environment across multiple cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP
• Strong experience of data classification tooling, concepts, strategies and support, including sensitivity/retention labels and document encryption technologies
• Subject matter expertise of relevant Microsoft Azure Information Protection, Azure RMS, Azure Active DRM, AD RMS, and Windows RMS, technologies.
• Strong knowledge of data-at-rest and data-in-transit protection techniques and methodologies (DLP, CASB, FDE, Email Encryption)
• Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management tools (Prisma Cloud, McAfee, Broadcom, Netskope)
• Desirable
– Subject matter expertise of relevant AWS technologies including AWS Core, AWS Data, AWS Networking and AWS Security
– Ability to develop and automate scripts in shell scripting languages
– Understanding of SASE, SAML, SCIM, OIDC
– Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
– Understanding of infrastructure as a code and concepts
– Understanding of systems configuration orchestration
– Experience with IT Security Endpoint tools across both Windows and Mac machines
– Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VPN, DNS, Proxy servers)
– Related security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, ITIL, MS AZ-500, AWS etc.).
