As the Global Talent Acquisition Strategic Projects Senior Manager, you will work as a core part of our Talent Acquisition (TA) Strategic Projects team of 4. This team will run selected strategic projects for the business, which may vary from quarter to quarter but will be aligned to our North Star vision. As well as your direct team, you will work closely with our senior business and talent acquisition leadership worldwide, Global Talent Acquisition Senior Director and the Managing Director and Partner of Talent Acquisition. You will bring talent acquisition experience as well as an adaptable, advisory mindset to develop content, advise on path forward and work with key stakeholders to deliver on selected high priority initiatives that accelerate success across our worldwide teams.

Deliver internal consulting-type work for 1-2 projects aligned to our overall strategic agenda

• Exact topics will change as the agenda evolves, but are likely to include a mix of operating models, talent acquisition processes and ways of working to maximise efficiency and effectiveness across the talent acquisition lifecycle
• Act as a trusted advisor to our delivery teams, supporting content delivery, strategy development and implementation of continuous improvement projects
• Work with business, HR and talent acquisition stakeholders to gather input, ensure buy-in and develop practical implementation plans
• Maintain external market knowledge of best-in-class talent acquisition practices and standards, bringing this into advisory work

Support governance and project management tracking:

• Ongoing progress and delivery updates across strategic projects in Global Talent Acquisition, helping to resolve key decisions, blockers and interdependencies
• Anticipate bottlenecks and support escalation management by maintaining an overview of our transformation and strategic project progress and trade-offs
• Ensure ongoing group and 1-1 stakeholder management across key business and leadership groups, including BCG’s broader People teams
• Support preparation of materials for key governance or stakeholder meetings, including collating data and input from relevant sources in the wider teams
• Work with Transformation Coordinator to manage and track Global Talent Acquisition project targets, adoption and impact

• Technical qualifications include talent acquisition operational and / or transformation experience, advisory or consulting project experience, strong analytical and problem solving skills, clear and persuasive communication skills
• Intangible attributes include having a high level of initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, patience, ability to work in a highly matrixed environment and tolerance for ambiguity
• Prior consulting experience in a large, global firm a huge plus

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Candidates for this role should have:

• Senior experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Consulting or equivalent
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates problem solving and analytical skills, change management and strategic content development to deliver business impact
• Quantitative experience with high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Experience participating and leading large, cross-functional projects – identifying and driving the right strategic path forward and guiding teams to solutions
• Structure and self-motivation; you take initiative, plan and prioritise, are wing to challenge the status quo and you build relationships to leverage resources
• Judgment in managing confidential/sensitive information; you are trustworthy
• Senior presence, with strong communication skills (written and verbal) as well as influencing and networking skills
• Flexibility to work in a non-structured, varying role
• Experience with using a variety of digital collaboration tools such as Slack, Trello, Mural, Box, and others

Other preferred qualifications include:

• MBA or Graduate degree in business, HR or any related field, or consulting experience at BCG or equivalent
• Experience with working in virtual teams across multiple regions, time zones, and cultures across the world.
