WHAT YOU’LL DO

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an existing functional practice area (PA) within BCG, but the firm’s leadership has made this business area a new priority for growth, focused on delivering impact with AI. In addition to aligning our hiring strategy to support these aspirations, there is a need to upskill our existing workforce in this area as well.

The Global Learning & Development (L&D) team is working with AI@Scale leadership to set the broader upskilling strategy, the AI Academy, and begins its execution. The AI Academy will provide an upskilling curriculum that spans quick learnings to an AI Accelerator course for current and aspiring AI leaders across all BCG cohorts. A newly curated platform will centralize topic-level trainings to provide a one-stop-shop for the best AI learning and knowledge content, making upskilling for case teams simple and streamlined. To provide ongoing support for this initiative we are developing an AI-specific L&D team.

As an Artificial Intelligence Learning Experience Designer, you will support the AI Academy in a variety of ways, including but not limited to:

• Curating and updating existing learning artifacts
• Developing new content to support the AI micro-learning which will be distributed to the full organization on which we plan to distribute to the full organization on a weekly basis
• Designing learning content that we expect our consulting staff to consume through both synchronous and asynchronous learning moments
• Providing input to support the development of our AI credentials based on your ownership of the areas above.

You’ll frequently collaborate with the Academy Owner – Artificial Intelligence and will also work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including the AI@Scale leadership team, the Global L&D leadership and communications team, BCG-U (our client learning team), our deep pool of AI topic experts, our AI product owners, and external agencies supporting the AI Academy.

This role provides you a unique opportunity to work with BCG’s thought leaders and help transform our proprietary knowledge into best-in-class and innovative learning experiences for our BCGers and support this exciting next step in the firm’s history.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

• Designing and supporting development of engaging and immersive, multi modal learning, including but not limited to: live classroom, virtual live, on-demand, interactive multimedia, videos, VR/AR, AI based, quizzes, and gamification solutions, etc.
• Conducting user research analysis
• Building interactive prototypes and running Proof-of-Concepts to get feedback from stakeholders and end users
• Partnering with non-L&D teams to identify the intersection between AI@Scale and other industry and functional practice areas
• Staying on top of learning trends that are relevant for BCG employees to offer best-in-class user-centered experience
• Providing strong, creative learning solutions to complex user problems
• Reviewing and curating content based on user and learning needs
• Passionate about Artificial Intelligence, driven by the goal to accelerate impact for our clients
• Partnering with training teams, SMEs, other internal stakeholders to assess training needs and selecting the most appropriate process, structure, technology, and delivery formats depending on learning goals
• Convincing and driving alignment between stakeholders, including senior stakeholders, with your confident and competent demeanor
• Explaining L&D best practices and rational to stakeholders
• Working with stakeholders to create a scope of work and designing and developing effective training solutions and programs according to BCG’s goals

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in education or digital technology
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in instructional design, learning technology and user experience
• Experience a live and a live virtual classroom design, leveraging technology to enhance the experience
• Experience in one of the eModule publishing software such as Rise, Captivate, Adapt
• Experience with at least one leading Learning Experience Platform (LXP)
• Knowledge of Agile and user centric design principles
• Strong project management skills and knowledge of Slack, MS Teams, Trello, Jira, Smartsheet would be a plus
• Experience working with remote international teams
• Excellent English language oral and written communication skills required
