WHAT YOU’LL DO

BCG’s Knowledge Team (KT) is a key pillar across BCG’s roughly twenty global Industry and Functional Practice businesses. KT is a billable, expertise-based, professional services organization. KT plays diverse roles ranging from being staffed in client case teams alongside consulting and other professional services staff to developing and managing IP specific to functional topic or industry sector-based businesses.

In this role you will work with business leaders to further shape a first-class employee experience related to career development and talent management. You will lead the delivery and ongoing development of the KT performance and career development cycle. KT is a global organization with multiple career paths and teams across multiple practice areas and geographies – you will drive consistency and quality standards across this highly complex environment.

The role requires a strong collaborative focus, teaming with learning, compensation, HR and People Analytics colleagues to deliver an integrated approach. An important aspect of the role is shaping the ongoing development of our Workday enabled performance management module which involves close collaboration with BCG’s global Career Development CoE and other billable business units.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Advancement of global performance and career development impact and experience

  • Identify CD and performance management requirements; help frame our overall talent agenda and determine key priorities
  • Identify and drive improvements in feedback and performance management experience, policy, and impact
  • Develop and drive the adoption of the BCG project-based performance management module in Workday (launched Jan 2022), align with KT perform and progress needs
  • Drive understanding of policy and engagement through development and facilitation of instructional resources and training
  • Provide leadership on performance and development topics and associated projects (e.g. career framework design, own your career, etc.), working collaboratively with the business and KT-focused People Team colleagues
Team management and capability building
  • Project management of PMT and business colleagues as part of talent related projects


YOU’RE GOOD AT

  • Performing successfully in a fast-paced and complex, ambiguous environment
  • Working in an international setting and remotely
  • Engaging with people and establishing a relationship based upon trust
  • Defining requirements, shaping projects plans and executing on projects, often via mixed teams of business and PMT colleagues
  • Understanding complex processes and shaping solutions that meet stakeholder needs
  • Interacting with senior and middle management, proposing solutions in a smart way


YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, with a strong functional HR understanding and experience in a professional services context
  • Alternatively to an HR profile, experience in the Knowledge Team, or more generally, in a consulting or professional services role, could be an advantage
  • Track record of working in a complex HR function, leading change to processes and ways of working
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong experience in talent/career development and/or performance management, abreast of and passionate about trends and innovation in the field
  • Knowledge of BCG core HR setup and Workday processes an advantage
  • Fluent in English
