The Patient Experience Representative will do the following:
1. Patient Encounter Management:
a. Provides positive and effective customer service that supports
unit operations.
b. Collaborates with referring providers and practices.
c. Obtains required authorizations to compile patient and staff
schedules.
d. Schedules patients and supports the patient encounter
2. Check-In / Check-Out:
a. Greets and directs patients, families, and visitors.
b. Monitors daily schedule and coordinates flow with clinicians
/supervisors.
c. Reconciles payments and prepares deposits, provides record of
transactions in Hospital systems
d. Facilitates and directs communication with Financial Counseling.
3. Administrative:
a. Maintains personal calendars for physician/supervisor(s).
b. Schedules meetings, programs, and events.
c. Records and forwards messages, triages calls for urgent
information or services, initiates call for emergency services.
d. Provides routine clerical support as needed.
4. Process Improvement:
a. Actively contributes to departmental and organizational
initiatives & projects with a focus on continuous process
improvement.
b. Assists in implementing change in internal systems and
procedures.
Physical requirements:
1. Frequently lifting and carrying patients/children and/or objects
weighing up to 10 pounds.
2. Regularly stooping and bending.
3. Regularly reaching and grasping objects at, above, and below shoulder
level.
4. Regularly grasping and fine manipulation with hands.
5. Regularly proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
6. Regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an
automated/computer system.
