What you will do:

• Maintaining and updating the purchase ledger
• Reconciling bank accounts daily
• Preparing supplier payment runs on a weekly basis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly management accounts ie. p/l and b/s & supporting schedules
• Assist in preparing the Management Reporting Pack
• Maintain Crypto ledger reconciliations in accordance with the approval matrix
• Preparation of quarterly VAT/GST returns
• Ensure current account balances match across all related entities
• Support with ad hoc finance tasks
• Work with auditor and tax consultants to fulfil audit, tax and VAT/GST compliance requirements

Skills / experience required:

• At least 4 years’ accounting experience
• Have strong Microsoft Excel/Google sheet skills
• Ability to work within a team, build and maintain good working relationships
• Must have a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ideally part qualification or fully qualified in accountancy such as AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
• Crypto currency experience in business or personal
• Xero Finance package knowledge would be useful
• Experience working directly with senior company officials and directors
• Proven ability to work independently
• Self starter with initiative
• Work with little or no supervision

Crypto knowledge requirements:

• Understanding of blockchain addresses and transactions and how tokens are transferred.
• Ability to use a blockchain explorer (eg. etherscan.io) to track and reconcile transactions and balances.
• Ability to understand and operate crypto wallets (eg. Metamask, etc.)
• Experience sending and receiving transactions (personal account ok)
• Comfortable making small ad-hoc payments to settle crypto invoices from suppliers (training available)
• Will be required to use crypto accounting software (eg. Cryptio)
• Reconciling crypto transactions through to accounting software (eg. Xero)
• Good security practices required (training given)
• Understanding of how crypto markets function: Exchanges, OTCs, MarketMakers and DeFi/DEX is a plus.
