Senior HR Advisor – Belfast City Centre

The Role
Working with the Regional HR Lead/HR Business Partner team/Regional HR Functions to deliver world class HR advisory support and consulting for the business teams in Belfast & Dublin. Work alongside the HR Business Partners to deliver insight, advice, guidance and practical support to ensure business areas successfully deliver their people strategies to deliver commercial success
Main duties
· Proactively cultivate strong working relationships with all organisational levels across Belfast & Dublin
· Understand the business agenda, commercially, culturally and strategically
· Deliver core HR support to the business particularly around recruitment, HR processes, HR business partnering and organisational development
· Participate in core HR initiatives and project implementations for the Business
· Be a visible role model for the business and its values and behaviours
· Act as an agent of change within Belfast & Dublin to ensure take-up of best practice
· Support the continuous improvement of the Human Resources function profile and perception within Belfast & Dublin through the quality of support and service delivered
· Assist with business driven projects, as directed by the Regional HR Lead
· Ensure that HR services are delivered to individual business areas in an effective and efficient manner whilst maintaining an independent organisational-wide corporate perspective
· Lead on strategic HR initiatives and project implementations for the Business
· Contribute to the development and implementation of individual business area / country people strategies and plans through close interaction and partnership with business leadership teams
· Enable business areas to effectively deliver their commercial and client strategies by providing advice, guidance, challenge and support on all people matters
· Oversee in conjunction with Talent Management the individual business areas focus on talent management and development, including facilitating talent, succession and capability building activities
· Provide case management support to the business, in conjunction with the Head of Employee Relations as required, across sickness, absence and income protection matters; maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave; performance improvement issues and disciplinary and grievance matters
· Support visa and immigration matters in conjunction with the appointed immigration specialist, including overseas secondments, liaising with the tax specialist as required
· Proactively use data and analytics to support business activities
The Person
· CIPD level 3 or above preferable
· Working as a HR advisor or similar
· Working directly with business areas on people matters and complex issues
· Good level of employment law knowledge and understanding of key principles
· Skill in handling conflict and uncertain situations
· Skill in handling multiple tasks and prioritising.
· Skill in communicating orally and in writing, particularly with business leaders and the HR community.
· Skill in adopting an innovative approach to HR delivery
The remuneration will be in the region of £45,00 – £55,000 and will include 25 days annual leave, an 8% pension contribution, BUPA, Life Cover, Agile working environment (2 days from home), and a comprehensive list of additional benefits.
