Boll & Branch Hiring for Retail Operations Manager at Summit, New Jersey Full Time

The Retail Operations Manager will serve as a key member of the Retail Operations team and act as a strategic partner to HQ and field teams. This role will drive operational excellence, business process, SOP, and compliance for all retail stores. This position requires a passion for operational excellence, a drive for results, and the ability to quickly and efficiently lead through the unforeseen. The Retail Operations Manager will be a hands-on leader who thoughtfully and strategically develops processes in anticipation of store growth. This individual will champion efforts to equip stores with modern retail applications.

This position is based in NJ/NYC and will have the opportunity to work predominantly from either our NYC office or our Summit, NJ HQ. The Retail Operations Manager will need to be at a combo of HQ and the Short Hills store for key team and cross-functional in-person meetings as well as on-site at our stores in CT and FL on a regular basis. You will report directly to the Director of Retail Stores and Operations.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Oversee, implement, and evolve retail systems for POS, Inventory, and other existing applications through strong partnership with the IT team
• Write and maintain all Retail SOP
• Drive profitability and scale in our retail fleet
• Develop cross functional partnerships with field leaders and HQ partners
• Partner with IT to build efficient processes to actively support stores when system issues arise
• Manage relationship with vendors and ensure proper budget management
• Supply procurement and management for all retail stores
• Support Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Creative partners in managing logistics for in store signage, visual materials, and other related assets
• Inventory management
• Optimize BOH capacity for retail stores
• Visit stores frequently to identify issues, future needs and define action plan with cross functional partners and field teams
• New store opening setup and coordination
• Any and all other functions, duties, or projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
• 4-8 years of experience in a similar role in Retail Operations. Additional store level experience preferred
• Demonstrated abilities to manage projects involving store systems
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and presentation skills; including the ability to provide written and verbal direction effectively
• Ability to travel to retail stores, as needed, including being on site for new store openings (for an average of two weeks at a time).
• Well organized with an ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
• Familiar with & proficient in retail math
• Ability to manage and coordinate people across different departments – a true team player
• Detail oriented and compliance driven
• Proficient knowledge of G-Suite (including Google Drive/Docs), as well as MS Word and Excel
• Proficiency in NetSuite, a plus
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, reach overhead, lift up to 50 lbs., and be able to climb a ladder/stepstool.
