BET IT Lead

£37,000 to £44,000 (All Year round position)

Are you a highly experienced IT Specialist looking to make a difference to the future of our young people?

The IT Lead monitors, manages and plans for changes in the Trust’s ICT resource for safe, effective use by students and staff. They will be based in a host school according to applicant location. The BET schools are situated in Wokingham, Basingstoke, Petersfield, Liphook, Southsea, Worthing, Horsham and Steyning.

The role has primary responsibility for delivering the Trust’s Information Technology Governance Framework across the Trust and delivering staff and student support for all aspects of the ICT infrastructure through local and Trust wide technicians and liaison with external organisations where appropriate. Local school level team management may also be included in the scope of the role depending on where applicants are based.

The successful candidate will have:

• Extensive management experience of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, preferably in an education environment
• Excellent working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
• Significant experience managing Microsoft Hyper-V/VMware, Failover Cluster Manager, Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
• Excellent working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
• Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to communicate concisely and effectively
• Significant experience within the ICT field (preferably within an education environment)
• Proven track record of building strong working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders

Ideally they will have an ITIL Foundation qualification in Service Management and a Prince 2 Foundation Level Qualification or equivalent knowledgeexperience, and will be a Chartered IT Professional. Applicants will be based out of a host school according to location.
