Boeing RIV Site Hiring for Wedgetail Systems Engineer Job at Brisbane Full Time

The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join BDA in growing the capabilities of the world leading Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) in association with the Phase 6 Program.

The role can be based in Adelaide (SA), Williamtown (NSW) or Brisbane (QLD) – support for relocation from other locations will also be considered.

Responsibilities:
As a Systems Engineer on Phase 6, you have key responsibilities that include:

• Applying systems engineering practices with experience across the lifecycle of complex engineering systems through concept development, design, integration, test, sustainment and disposal
• Conduct user needs analysis including developing operational definition documents
• Develop and manage function and performance specifications
• Undertake system modelling and developing system architectures using digital engineering tools
• Integrating components, sub-systems and systems
• Conducting test and evaluation activities including establishing test strategies, developing test plans, procedures and reports
• Supporting milestone reviews
• Engaging stakeholders both internal and external across all levels of the organisation

Experience/ Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in any of Electrical / Software / Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline with 5+ years’ experience
• A desire to work as part of a diverse, collaborative and innovative team
• Experience with delivering systems in a Defence environment
• Strong knowledge/experience in systems engineering practices
• Experience in defining and managing requirements baselines
• Experience in an aviation program (desirable)
