Boeing Ukraine, LLC is seeking Structural Design Engineer (Reverse Engineering) to join our Global Services team located in Kyiv, Ukraine.

You are beginner/mid-level professional with relevant education, sufficient level of theoretical and practical knowledge in the discipline, computer aided design tools confident user and finally motivated enough to learn fast, develop yourself and contribute to the ongoing engineering projects. On this position, you will work under close/general supervision from Lead Engineer/Focal as long as you grow. We expect you will be able to work autonomously under general direction in one year or so.

Position Responsibilities:
Assists with documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

Assists with development, maintenance and modification of payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Assists with tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

Assists with management of supplier development, test and production activities to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

Basic requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in aviation or engineering related fields.

2+ years of experience in mechanical and structural design, creating, executing and reviewing, structural design models. Working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5 preferred).

Knowledge of structural design principles and practices from requirements generation to production and product support.

At least upper/intermediate level of English.

Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as aircraft structure, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes.

Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Knowledge of material processing for metals (e.g., welding forging, heat treat, machining, forming), polymers and composites (e.g., autoclave curing, lay-up, co-curing, repair), sealants and finishes processing (e.g., plating, painting, surface preparation, fay surface sealing, fillet sealing), and ceramic (e.g., high temperature processing, machining) and electronic materials (e.g., soldering, printed circuit board cleaning, conformal coating).

Analytical skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.

Communicates using a variety of media, clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.

Demonstrates an interest in personal learning and development. Seeks feedback from multiple sources about how to improve and develop; self-analysis of past mistakes.

Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of actions.
