The BMC2 team develops mission software to integrate sensors, communication systems, self-protect suites, weapon systems, data links, other battle management, and crew user interfaces for the ASC2 systems. Responsible for engaging customers through cutting-edge visual modeling and simulation; innovating cross-cutting concepts and technologies; prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs, developed using the Agile software process.

Position Responsibilities:
Design and develop Ground Systems or related software using real-time software architectures and designs
Participate in use case development for software requirements.
Support software architecture trade studies and modifications to meet new requirements
Develop interface definitions
Perform unit and integration testing
Participate in peer reviews
Support system and flight testing
Creation of software documentation.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Star t is required.
B asic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience in C++ and/or Java programming languages
2+ years of experience in Linux or Windows development environments
2+ years of experience with or knowledge of Agile software development processes and use case development
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Software Service Oriented Architectures
Usage of software development tools such as JIRA, GIT and Jenkins
Knowledge of or experience with Mission Systems domain areas such as ground stations, data links, data/sensor fusion, human-machine interfaces
Software certification knowledge
Domain knowledge of Sensors, Communications, Navigation, and other Mission Systems
Cloud Technologies, Containerization, DevSecOps, Modern Tool Chains
Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master)
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
