Senior Software Engineer – Phantom Works International

Boeing’s Phantom Works International (PWI) division is building the future ‒ creating innovative solutions that will define the next generation of sustainable aviation and future mobility. Our Systems Analysis Laboratory (SAL) is a world leading digital innovation hub, specialising in advanced development of modelling and simulation in a number of areas, including urban air mobility, future flight concepts and alternative propulsion.

As our portfolio continues to grow, we have an opening for an experienced SeniorSoftware Engineerto join the team and help deliver the future today. The role can be based in Brisbane or Adelaide, with flexible working arrangements available.

About you

You are a software development professional with 5-10 years’ experience who can demonstrate creative thinking and innovation to solve complex problems. You are familiar with collaborative agile/scrum techniques and have a working knowledge of the C++ programming language.

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • A tertiary qualification in software engineering
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of contemporary agile software development principles
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passion for problem solving, innovation and an eye for detail
  • Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an NV-1 security clearance

Preferred software engineering skills include:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of C++
  • Demonstrated experience in modelling and simulation
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Java, HTML and a range of other languages
  • Understanding of user interface design and implementation
