The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Software Engineer to lead our advanced simulation interface team based out of either Oklahoma City, OK, Berkeley, MO, Chicago, IL, Colorado Springs, CO, El Segundo, CA, Huntington Beach, CA, Huntsville AL, Long Beach, CA, Mesa AZ, North Charleston, SC, Oklahoma City, OK, Plano TX, Ridley Park, PA, San Antonio, TX, Seal Beach, CA, or Aurora, CO .

This team is responsible for the development of Interface Control Document (ICD) utilities and automation tools used in vehicle simulations. These simulations are used interactively in the Boeing cloud, on engineering workstations, in hardware-in-the-loop test benches, and flight deck environments.

The software engineering team simulation engine flight simulator- contributing logic lock flight software designing simulation environment, integrated test the product complexing leading the team design the toos in process tool that manage the interface things.

Position Responsibilities:
Own the entire software development lifecycle for ICD development, alignment, and visualization

Lead a fast paced, international Agile Development team, coordinate and implement customer requirements, demonstrate progress and capabilities to customers and stakeholders, and lead detailed planning

Support the entire software development lifecycle (design, review, code, test, deliver, maintain)

Dedication to unit testing, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous development practices

Documentation of system architecture, design and operation

Customer support, training, consulting, problem investigation and debugging

Coordinate with other Boeing Enterprise teams also developing ICD tools and processes

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5+ years of experience in embedded real-time software development

5+ years of experience with Modeling and Simulation Tools

Experience with Linux/Unix software development environment

Experience with software development and configuration management (CM) tools

Agile Development practices

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with COTS modeling and simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink

Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or SQLite

Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j, GraphDB, and/or MarkLogic

Experience with containerized software and environments (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Openshift)

Experience with Boeing Commercial Airplane ICD database tools and processes such as SLATE-FI or Interbase

Experience with Boeing Simulation software, such as PSIM or the Common Simulation Framework

Experience with cloud services such as Azure or AWS

Model Based Engineering concept familiarity

Formal Agile training (Product Owner, Scrum Master, SAFE principles)

Experience with work management tools (JIRA, TFS, ADO, Gitlab, etc.)

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $141,100 – $218,500
