We are currently seeking an experienced Graduate Accountant to join our team permanently based at our Port Melbourne facility. This role will report into the Finance Manager.

About the role

As the Graduate Accountant, you will collaborate with finance team and business stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of BAA and the core functions they represent. Examples of tasks to be completed are:

• Assist with month end processing
• Monitor AP invoices and liaise with offshore service provider to action
• Assist with SOX audit
• Month end review and analysis on movements
• ABS surveys
• Proactively manage opportunities, risks and issues
• Support Senior Accountants with ad hoc requests

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting
• Studying towards CA/CPA qualification or willing to gain CA (funding provided)
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Good teaming and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a diverse workforce
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Proactive and results oriented approach

Additional information

This is a Non EBA IJC 9AHCI1 position and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6 month probationary period.
