Boeing Phantom Works is currently seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our CaaS team located in Seattle, Washington.
Position Responsibilities:As an integral member of the team, you will be:
Designing and coding of CaaS software which provides traffic engineering solutions for network routing and routes traffic in a mobile ad-hoc network. Primary languages used are C++ and Python.
Testing CaaS software in a high performance modeling and simulation environment that AWS Cloud Computing solutions.
Improving our DevSecOps tool chain, with a focus on CI/CD enhancements including the development and testing of scripts and processes and the incorporation of modeling and simulation based test.
Working across engineering disciplines and geographic locations, as you will be working with team members distributed across multiple Boeing sites in Washington, California, Alabama, and Missouri.
Supporting demonstrations to be given to Executive and Program Leadership
Working with Security, IT, and various other stakeholders to ensure the integrity of the software development environment.
Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Two or more years of experience programming in C++ and Python
Experience with the Linux operating system and system configuration
One or more years of experience with Git, Ansible and Jenkins.
One or more years of experience developing software using CI/CD practices
Experience with the Agile software development process
Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience developing, testing, and maintaining automated and manual scripts and processes for the CI/CD pipeline.
Proficiency with Kubernetes, Rancher, Terraform, Helm, Dockeror Grafana.
Experience with development pipelines that use Artifactory, or Nexus.
Experience with AWS Cloud technologies.
Security+ certification
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
