Boeing Vancouver, Airplane Health Management (AHM) team is seeking an Associate Software Developer, reporting to the Manager of Information Technology and will be supporting the Vancouver, British Columbia office. The Associate Software Developer must be familiar in Java and other server side technologies, passionate about continuous learning and improvement.

Position Responsibilities:
Participate in the design, and build of scalable, reliable, and high performance systems and environments

Participate in the design and implementation both continuous integration and continuous delivery

Participate in the design and build monitoring solutions and services

Develop infrastructure code

Develop platform code

Develop application code

Monitor health of the application and environment, and act to return system to health when alerted

Contribute to building the overall knowledge and expertise of the technical team

Evangelize high coding standards throughout the work, organization, and interactions with others

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Must have post-secondary education in related field

Minimum 1+ years Software Development experience

Minimum 1+ years cloud migration/integration/deployment experience

Minimum 1+ years’ experience working in Linux/bash and windows environment

Must legally able to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Experience with Javascript, Perl , Java, JSP, Angular

Experience with Spring/REST

Experience with Cloud providers such as Azure, Google and/or AWS

Experience with developing and supporting applications in Docker, K8s

Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or similar

Experience with large complex databases , such as Oracle

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOPS, Artifactory, GitLab, Maven, Jenkins

Experience with Clustering, Network Load Balancing, Geographic redundancy, Fail over Solutions, Data Backups, Recovery and Replication

Excellent written and oral communication

Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
