Successful candidates will work with both the MQ-25 software development teams and part-time with the enterprise Project Element DevSecOps team to assist the program in adopting new cutting edge technologies.
The MQ-25A Stingray will be the world’s first operational, carrier-based unmanned aircraft and pioneer the integration of manned and unmanned systems within the carrier air wing. The DevSecOps and Advanced Design (AD) team is developing and integrating future technology that will improve the MQ-25’s future software and capability roadmap.

Position Responsibilities:
Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for future MQ-25 upgrades and technology demonstrations.
Coordinates with the MQ-25 EMD engineering team and other Boeing Project Element organizations adopt next generation development toolchains and methodologies
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
Performs software project management and software supplier management functions.
Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics.
Executes and documents software research and development projects.
Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
Works under general direction.
**This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Hazelwood, MO.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).
Required Qualifications: (Required Skills/ Experience):

1+ years of experience programming in C++
1+ years of experience in embedded real-time software development
Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience):
Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS)
Experience with Agile software development
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
Experience working with software version control tools such as ClearCase or Git
Experience with hardware/software lab integration
Experience developing software services using the Boeing AvionX Defense Mission Computing (Phantom Fusion) infrastructure
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science or mathematics (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Travel: Position may require infrequent travel, less than 10%. Virtual work is available, however expect 40% of time is on-site in Hazelwood, MO.
Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
