THE POSITION
We currently have an excellent opportunity to join the Finance Team as a Financial Analyst. The role of the Financial Analyst will be to act as a provider of financial information and analysis, supporting the finance function in its role as financial custodian to the business. The Analyst will work closely with the various teams across the Finance and Administration function and Global Shared Service Centre to enable appropriate and timely decision making based on sound financial information.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide timely, reliable and relevant financial information to the finance and business stakeholders both locally and at a corporate level.
  • Support the system inputs for budgets, forecasts and other financial plans for local and corporate stakeholder review.
  • Providing financial information and appropriate explanations to assist key stakeholders to understand financial figures within the context
  • Support the maintenance of financial systems integrity on an ongoing basis.
  • Support the maintenance and accuracy of the relevant sections of the balance sheet & income statement on an ongoing basis.
  • Developing technical knowledge and experience of current accounting and financial practices to comply with internal and external accounting practices and requirements.
  • Act as an active member of the Finance team to share knowledge and best practice as appropriate to ensure adequate cover and increase knowledge within the team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to minimum A-Level standard (Grades A-C) or equivalent
  • Part Qualified Accountant
  • Accounting systems knowledge and experience e.g. SAP
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office applications experience
  • UK & German GAAP knowledge desirable
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Pro-active attitude
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to extract, review and analyse data from multiple sources.
  • Will work with multiple stakeholders within Finance and business functions.
  • Important to be able to prioritise workload and communicate effectively to key stakeholders.
