THE POSITION
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team, working within a team of 3. This role will be hugely involved in the day to day transactional aspects of the business, with a key impact on providing key analysis into the sales and purchase ledgers.
The position will be a point of contact for any client payment queries, so the candidate should be friendly and possess a good telephone manner and exceptional written skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
§Accurate and timely processing of sales invoices and purchase invoices
§Monitoring the ledgers in order to resolves queries on outstanding invoices and unallocated entries.
§Daily Bank reconciliation
§Weekly revenue reconciliation
§Preparation of weekly debtors review & analysis
§Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts
§Assisting the Head of Finance during month end closure processes and preparation of management accounts
§Providing for any other accounting and ordering functions as required and any other ad hoc duties allocated by the Head of Finance as required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS
§Strong transactional skills and experience taking responsibility for sales and purchase ledger
§Previous experience working in a Finance Department
§A willingness to learn and be a pro-active member of the team
§Possess a ‘can do’ attitude
§Good working knowledge of Excel/Word/Outlook
§Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
§Ability to act on your own initiative without constant supervision.
§Ability to work both within a dedicated team as well as independently
§Calm under pressure, and able to remain professional at all times
§Knowledge of/experience in a healthcare/medical industry is beneficial
§Previous experience working in a Finance department would be an advantage
§Undergraduates with a degree in Finance/ Accounting would also be considered
