In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Under minimal supervision, provides accounting support activities for funds of moderate complexity
Research and resolution of reconciliation breaks, quality controls, and nightly portfolio valuation. During these processes you will interact with custodian banks, clients, and other internal support teams. Our clients are invested in a wide variety of asset types and global markets. The work is highly time sensitive and requires an attention to detail, the ability to take on responsibility and work in a team setting while supporting a number of businesses.
Utilizes internal systems and external data to validate and resolve reconciliation breaks while adhering to established procedures
Maintains records in accordance with department policies and procedures
Prepares system-generated s or templates and conducts general data validation and reconciliation
Confirms findings with more senior team members.
Responsible for the quality and completion of own work
Intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel.
High level of communication skills.
Remain organized and be able to handle multiple priorities
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor’s degree a plus, Strongly preferred in Accounting or Finance area.
Experience in portfolio analysis or accounting support in investment operations / mutual fund industry preferred
1-2 years or more total work experience preferred.
Experience reviewing reconciliations / ing a plus
