Technical Design Advisor – Roofing Systems

Purpose of the Role of Technical Design Advisor – Roofing Systems:

The main focus of this exciting new opportunity is to assist with the roof design of commercial buildings, both new build and refurbishment and to write specifications. There is the flexibility to be based from either of the company’s sites in Preston or Welwyn Garden City, 2 or 3 days per week, the rest of the time working from home and attending design meetings with clients. You will receive comprehensive training in all areas for the first several months in the role.

Responsibilities of the Role of Technical Design Advisor – Roofing Systems:

• Write specifications for new roofing projects
• Attend client design meetings
• Respond to incoming technical enquiries
• CAD Technician support
• Conduct project risk assessment

For the position of Technical Design Advisor – Roofing Systems, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Degree in a construction related discipline such as Architecture or Civil Engineering
• Ideally but not essential experience of using CAD software, Autodesk
• Excellent time management skills
• Methodical and good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and enjoys working in a team environment and with customers
• Initiative and able to work independently
• Ambitious and keen to develop a successful career
• Able to travel to either Welwyn Garden City or Preston 2 to 3 times per week

• Driving licence
