BMGM LLC Hiring for Technical Designer – Fit Tech at New York, New York Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with designers to develop initial designs, tech packs and garment technical specifications using block patterns and original samples
• Create and update specification tech packs, including detailed technical sketches, graded measurements and construction details
• Manage all aspects of fittings, construction and technical issues, as well as product evaluations
• Edit tech packs to clearly communicate pattern changes and corrections to the factories
• Act as the point of contact for suppliers and answer questions regarding fit, specs, pattern and construction
• Ability to work closely with design and interpret design intent
• Knowledge in pattern, fitting and writing comments

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Designer
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, problem solve and effectively influence
• Highly proficient in pattern making, sewing, garment construction and engineering
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of manufacturing and product development process
• Understanding of domestic production capabilities, a plus
• Must be familiar with junior, missy and girl’s specifications
