Apparel company seeks creative designer for women’s apparel.  Ideal candidate should have experience with junior and missy knits and woven, tops, bottoms and dresses.

Candidate should also be able to work independently, and merchandise product with some direction. 

Responsibilities/Requirements Include:

  • Draw, sketch, and plan designs for fashion apparel
  • Direct and prioritize local sample room for showroom needs
  • Research fashion trends
  • Excellent sense of style and color
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel is necessary. 
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player
  • Experience working with suppliers, domestic and overseas vendors.
  • Full understanding of garment construction a must
