Position Summary

The Expense Analyst is responsible for analysing all major expenses that impacts the bottom line, including travel, and accommodation, credit card spend and other indirect spend. The Expense Analyst will identify actionable saving opportunities, improve processes and implement changes with lasting effect to make a material improvement to bottom line business performance. This individual will directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance of our Travel & Expense Policy across Bluum
• Review and automate expense transactions and activities as needed
• Implement and integrate travel /accommodation system (Egencia) and corporate credit card program with Accounting systems (Netsuite)
• Identify and support sourcing and integration of preferred travel and accommodation suppliers
• Guide the corporate credit card onboarding and offboarding program and ensure spend are within company policy
• Identify key indirect spend vendors and opportunities for cost savings
• Work with internal teams to support smart expenses
• Generate monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc s and provide analysis of travel and expense trends
• Develop strong processes for preparation of robust expense trends and forecasts to support department managers ability to control and monitor spend
• Participate in the annual budget process, working with business partners to develop budgets for specific areas of responsibility, and supporting business unit level review

Education & Skill Requirements

• Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
• 3+ years progressive experience in expense management, Procurement, or Finance with a preference to experience with travel & expenses
• Strong background in day-to-day activities and ing in Netsuite
• Understanding of expense processes and corporate credit cards spend
• Confident in engaging a broad set of stakeholders and collaborating with all levels of the leadership team
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage and analyze large data set
• Acknowledged for business analytics and problem-solving skills
