The Role:

A generalist Human Resources (HR) position within in a small HR team providing a professional, proactive HR service to a high standard for the UK business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a first line comprehensive and professional service to our stakeholders within the Innovation group. They will support the ER Advisor and ER Business Partners by assisting with people management queries such as short-term absence, family friend requests and straight forward investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

• First point of contact for all HR related queries;
• Support the business by proactively tracking and flagging short term sickness absence and attendance issues including AWOL;
• Coordinate the HR administration for the monthly payroll provider, ensuring all data is captured, downloaded and manipulated (if required) in a timely manner, troubleshooting any upload issues with the third-party provider;
• Assist with probation queries and ensuring all pre and post documentation meets legal requirements;
• Aid the Business Partners with the collation and maintenance of accurate MI HRIS data ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate information as requested to help drive operational strategy and facilitate business decision-making;
• Liaise with ER Advisor to coordinate Occupation Health services and medical referrals, reports as well as supporting with employee sickness welfare. Taking a proactive approach in highlight concerns with the HR Business Partner;
• Proactively ensure that all new hires are on boarded correctly and effectively ensuring that all HR files and systems are accurate and up to date;
• Coordinate the new hire induction process;
• Drafting initial response letters for the ER Business Partners to adapt and complete;
• Proactively ensure that all Exit Interview data is collated, and meetings are carried out (when required) maintaining any spreadsheets;
• Support the Talent Acquisition Business Partner with the recruitment process where required.
• Administer HR-related documentation and processes for the full lifecycle, preparing accurate and timely information, including contracts of employments, contract changes, flexible working requests;
• Ensuring that all HRIS systems are up to date and accurate for payroll deadlines and reporting such as iPeople, iTrent and iKnow;
• Responsible for managing the HR Email Inbox, responding to emails within agreed SLAs and cascading emails to appropriate members of the HR Team;
• Troubleshoot, train and provide advice to users on HR systems including resolving or supporting the resolution of problems related to the operation of the HR system.

Experience Required:

• Ideally Level 3 CIPD qualification;
• Previous experience in a similar generalist HR role;
• Prior experience of payroll administration or working with a third-party payroll provider would be advantageous;
• Strong administrative skills demonstrating accuracy and efficiency;
• Analytical mindset;
• Proven experience in data manipulation;
• Methodical and excellent attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential;
• Ability to work in a pressurised and high-volume environment;
• Proactive and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and develop;
• Fully proficient in all Microsoft packages including Excel and can communicate well through a variety of media.

Specific Requirements:

• Ability to travel to other UK locations if required.
