The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our BlueScope Distribution business in our Finance team in Unanderra as a Finance Analyst. BlueScope Distribution is a provider of single-source product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

In this newly created role, you’ll support the business through expert financial insights and analysis in order to drive continuous improvement, operational and cost efficiencies. You’ll develop relationships to influence key internal customers and foster collaboration and teamwork across the Finance Team.

What Will You Do?

In this newly established role supporting the finance team, you will:

• plan, co-ordinate and deliver financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
• maintain robust planning processes to ensure integrity of all forecasts and budgets
• ensure adequate governance, controls and reporting procedures are in place and maintained
• lead and drive innovation in the digital automation and robotics space
• champion the capital process by promoting adherence to the Capital Framework, embracing process and system standardization and ensuring capital projects are actively tracked
• be a key technical resource for Financial & Accounting knowledge applied to the business

More About You

As an experienced Finance Analyst, you will bring:

• tertiary and / or post-Graduate qualifications in finance, accounting or related discipline
• CPA / CA qualifications or near completion
• developed communication, influencing and negotiation skills
• experience partnering with cross-functional teams and the ability to translate financial information for those from a non-finance background
