Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life and build lasting pathways to prosperity. Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally. Across a dozen countries, we’re partnering with traditional fishers and community organizations to design, scale, strengthen and sustain fisheries management and conservation at the community level. We bring partners together in networks to advocate for reform, and share tools and best practices to support fishing communities across the globe.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support our UK Human Resources team by providing recruitment and HR administration support. The team consists of a Director of People and Culture, one HR Manager and one HR Officer in the UK, an HR Team in Madagascar, and Operation Managers in Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and Belize.
You will play a central role in ensuring our internal HR services deliver excellent support to colleagues, from recruitment to general HR queries, for our UK and international teams.
Reporting to the HR Officer, this is a full-time permanent role.
The successful candidate will need to be a problem solver and enjoy developing and improving systems and processes. You will be dealing with confidential and sensitive information, so discretion and sound judgment are critical. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues at every level. This role would suit someone interested in pursuing a career in HR or charity administration.
