About the Job

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to become part of our team as the Chief Financial Officer. We are a growing distribution company in the tobacco/convenience industry. This position requires a proactive, team-oriented leader who can thrive in a growing, fast-paced organization. This position will support the owner and function as a key advisor. He/she will help to manage the business and execute the company’s strategic plans. This role calls for a hands-on leader who can oversee all elements of finance and compliance while supporting the owner with critical business decisions.

DUTIES GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the owner to develop and execute the financial strategy of the company
• Oversee all matters related to accounting and finance
• Manage the banking relationship and reporting to the bank
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase profitability
• Ensure internal controls and related processes
• Manage the annual planning process and long-term business planning
• Manage all aspects of cash flow
• Perform monthly analysis and reporting to executive management
• Manage receivables and decrease DSO
• Oversee compliance reporting for highly regulated tobacco portion of business
• Direct and oversee business, property, and casualty insurance
• Oversee and direct financials and compliance audits

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience managing all elements of finance including accounting, financial planning and analysis, cash, and banking relationships
• Collaborative and team player
• Good communication skills and leadership capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Accounting/Finance degree (MBA highly preferred)
• Experience managing Accounting/Finance/Treasury functions
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Able to multitask in a growing, dynamic environment
• Strong organizational and time management/prioritization skills
• Very detailed oriented
• Ability to work independently
• NetSuite experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
