Blue Matter Academy (BMA) is the internally facing Learning and Development department

of Blue Matter Consulting, a boutique biopharma consulting firm. The BMA team supports our

global consultant teams by providing learning opportunities on topics such as consulting basics,

communication, critical thinking, managing others, and leadership.

Blue Matter Academy is seeking a Learning Manager to support our team. We are looking for

someone with the following skills:
Exceptional instructional design skills

Engaging workshop facilitation

Excellent project management

Excellent people management skills

Strong analysis skills

Creative problem solving

A Learning Manager will individually do or manage others doing the following actions:

Manage the end-to-end process of BMA projects or programs

Execute all parts of the ADDIE process, including interviewing SMEs, designing programs and courses, developing content, cases, and activities, launching, facilitating and supporting learning, and evaluating impact

Manage internal customer expectations and continually interact with them in a positive, professional manner

Identify and deconstruct the learners’ motivational, knowledge and skill needs

Delegate work to team members and provide constructive and actionable feedback

Desired Experience and Skills

An insatiable passion for learning and development

4-year University degree (BA, BS), Advanced degree (M.Ed, MBA, MS, etc.) preferred

8+ years of L&D experience in the life sciences or consulting industries

2+ years of direct management of people

Demonstrated success building creative solutions for adult learners across modalities

Polished professional who is a clear and concise communicator

Project and change management

Demonstrated success at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines

Strategic thinking skills to address critical business issues

Familiarity with e-learning technology, design, and development

Experience working with life science consultancies preferred

Professional certifications in facilitation, personality assessments, or coaching is a bonus
