The Role and the Team

Blue Light Card launched in Sydney, Australia in October 2022. We’ve got big plans and are growing fast, as a result, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engagement Manager to join the team as a Member Acquisition Manager and help us drive the right outcomes for our members. You’ll be responsible for building and nurturing a network of contacts in our key eligible sectors to establish Blue Light Card and drive member acquisition.

We’re a fast-scaling business and are looking for someone who can work proactively and independently with a strong start-up mentality.

What You’ll Do

• Drive member growth through B2B channels: eligible sectors and organisations (e.g. healthcare, law enforcement, emergency services, SES), managing the end-to-end process from identification to close
• Generate leads through research online and through LinkedIn
• Nurture relationships with organisations through regular communication, sharing relevant news and offers
• Help establish Blue Light Card as “the go-to service for enhanced employee benefits” for frontline workers and volunteers
• Organise and attend events to achieve business development goals
• Support freelance PR to identify opportunities for local press that drives awareness
• Work closely with the wider marketing team on bespoke assets and comms

What You’ll Bring

• Experienced sales professional in B2B, additional marketing or partnerships experience would be a bonus
• Demonstrated success in growing a member-based organisation
• Strong lead generation skills, ideally proficient in LinkedIn strategies and engagement
• Excellent negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Prior start-up experience or a desire to work in one
