The Organisation
Bloom is partnering with the newly-created National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Association (NATSIHA).
NATSIHA’s purpose is to facilitate access to quality, accessible, affordable, and culturally appropriate housing to help empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families, and communities to optimise their health and wellbeing and improve their employment opportunities, access to education, connection to community and sense of home.
This is a unique opportunity to join the national peak body organisation at the start of the journey, as they work to grow and strengthen the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing sector. NATSIHA will lead the way in implementing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Data Strategy that is underpinned by the principles of Indigenous Data Sovereignty and will support capability building across the sector to harness data as a cultural, strategic and economic asset.
The Role
The Research and Data Officer plays a critical role in effective data collection, management, analysis, ing and storage as well as assisting in data strategy and research initiatives.
The role will involve developing and implementing a comprehensive Data Management strategy whilst collecting relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing data to support evidence-based gap analysis to assist in policy and project work.
This role is instrumental in leading data-driven strategies, fostering positive change, and working towards improving housing conditions and opportunities for the Aboriginal community.
