Bloom Bar Studio is Looking for Florist + Studio Associate Full Time

Bloom Bar Studio is a unique destination that blends the beauty of floral design with the warmth of a wine bar and the charm of a café. Our talented team of florists create one-of-a-kind floral designs for various occasions, while our wine bar offers a relaxed atmosphere for wine enthusiasts and newcomers alike to enjoy a diverse selection of wines from around the world. In addition, our coffee menu features handcrafted beverages and delectable pastries. We are seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our team as a Florist + Studio Associate. In this role, you will assist the lead florist in designing and arranging florals, processing florals, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the studio. You will also support the front of house team members with wine service, espresso beverages and retail sales.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head florist in designing and creating bouquets & floral arrangements
• Assist the head florist in designing florals for weddings & events including; floral arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières, floral installations, etc.
• Process and prepare flowers, ensuring their freshness and quality.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the floral studio, including cleaning work areas and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and taking orders over the phone and in person.
• Collaborate with the team to meet sales goals and objectives.
• Provide wine service to customers (pour wine, provide information about wine selection, etc.)
• Create espresso beverages for customers (Espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.)
• Offer product and gift recommendations to customers

Requirements:

• 1-2 years floral design experience.
• Previous experience in a floral studio or similar environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of floral design and arrangement techniques, including colour schemes and floral types.
• Up to date on floral design trends.
• Smart Serve Certified.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Upbeat & positive attitude.
• Comfortable working in a customer facing role.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Café or restaurant experience is an asset.
