JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Generalist will provide a wide range of HR administrative duties and general department support in the daily functions of the department. As well the HR Generalist will be hands on with the employees to foster and grow our Core Values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Vet all candidates to ensure they are an organizational fit to the Blommer culture of integrity, customer focus, personal growth, accountability and ownership.

Conduct recruitment efforts for all open hourly and salary positions.

Manage and coordinate the search, interview, background, reference checking, offer, and post offer process for direct hires based on needs of site; ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and processed within legal timeframes.

Ensure consistency of onboarding process to ensure the individuals coming into Blommer has knowledge of safety, quality, position expectations and internal resources.

Ensure employee benefit enrollment records are inclusive and current; coordinate benefit review meetings as appropriate.

Maintain Human Resource Information System records.

Provide support to employees.

*
Assist with employee engagement activities.

Other duties as required.

• EDUCATION: *

• Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management, or related field

• TRAVEL DEMANDS: *

• May require travel (0-10%)

• EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: *

• One ore more years Human Resources experience in manufacturing environment as a generalist with experience in staffing, employee relations, training, benefit management, HR provincial legislation and laws.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Canadian payroll regulations, legalities and practices along with ESA, Human Rights, OH&SA and AODA.
