Block by Block and Nashville Downtown Partnership works hard every day to supply the Downtown Nashville community with a hospitality, safety and outreach program that can help the business district grow and prosper. With this role we are seeking to hire an experienced Full Cycle Recruier and Trainer for our roles in Nashville and a few other select cities.

Success will be achieved through the development of local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing brand new, creative recruiting ideas in Nashville. The Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute recruiting plans.
• Assist in development and facilitation of facility recruiting programs to include: leading the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position; efficiently and effectively filling open positions; and, conducting regular follow-up with managers to determine program effectiveness to ensure that quality hires.
• Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. Being proactive in the process.
• Research, recommend and source candidates through a variety of resources; job boards, job fairs, postings, social networks etc.
• Track progress and success rates to determine the best practices.

This position requires:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills. What we do is different and requires a lot of explanation. We want everyone to understand exactly what the job entails.
• The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. We need someone who can effectively serve as the face of our company. This position is hiring cleaning, safety and hospitality, not surgeons. So, we need someone with a friendly and dynamic attitude that can hit the ground running and make quick connections.
• Excellent follow up skills are required in order to make efficient use of marking dollars.
• The ability to communicate and interface with many corporate and employee levels. We need someone who can talk to anyone and make them feel comfortable.
• The ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. (In other words…this world is crazy, we need someone who can hang!)
• Must possess working knowledge of state and federal labor laws. (In other words, don’t be biased, illegal, rude, and discriminatory.)
• The ability to apply strict confidentiality rules to daily workload. ( In other words, keep your mouth shut.)

Organizational Relationship:

Consults and coordinates with Operations, Regional and Corporate Management to provide assistance regarding employment recruiting policies and procedures.

Application:

Proficiency in Full- Cycle Recruiting

• Manage full life cycle recruitment
• Oversee internal recruitment including the transfers or promotions of selected employees ensuring all applicable standards in hiring are met
• Strategize to create efficient and effective recruitment strategies for sourcing, pipe lining and developing requisitions and provide regular communication to hiring managers
• Partner with recruiting and assessment vendors to ensure proper administration, assessment content, scoring and candidate experience.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required communicate verbally.

Minimum Requirements:

Must possess some experience in recruiting and hiring (5 years preferred). Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of both experience and education.
