Blinds To Go Hiring for Supply Chain Analyst / Supply Chain Manager at Paramus, New Jersey, US Full Time

Blinds to Go is looking for a hands-on member of the Supply Chain Team, the Forecasting Analyst is responsible for forecasting and planning the raw material inventory required to support the just-in-time manufacturing operation that services the company’s 48-hour delivery commitment.

This individual will work with Merchandising, Marketing, and the Material Planning teams to analyze retail sales trends and forecast inventory requirements for over 6,000 SKUs for our two North America manufacturing plants, as well as the Taiwan warehousing facility.

Viable candidates will have a strong statistical foundation, experience with a leading forecasting package, and possess the ability to adapt to Blinds To Go’s high-service environment.

This newly created role will be based out of our U.S. manufacturing facility located in Lakewood, New Jersey.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES :

• Manage the John Galt forecasting system to deliver optimal modeling of the business and improve planner productivity by generating accurate inventory forecast
• Work with senior management and supply planners to set target inventory levels given service requirements achieve minimal sales and service interruptions (restrictions, back-orders)
• Develop forecasts for 6000+ SKUs utilizing historical demand, promotional plans, sales forecast, new product introductions, and product lifecycles
• Review system generated statistical forecast for sku-level accuracy and warehouse inconsistencies and make adjustments by utilizing sales data, knowledge of business, and promotions calendar;

Root-cause errors and propose solutions to improve forecast accuracy

• Partner with merchandising and marketing to forecast new products and determine initial purchase orders and inventory targets to support new product launches
• Review and challenge the sales and marketing assumptions when significant deviations occur between the demand-based revenue plan and the business plan offer insight into sales planning process
• Work with IT to implement system solutions aligned with business goals and company objectives
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Management or related technical field
• 5+ years’ experience in forecasting, demand planning, or inventory planning
• Experience and expert knowledge of statistical modeling and demand forecasting systems (John Galt, SAP APO, JDA, Logility, Lokad, etc.)
• Expertise in data acquisition, spreadsheet / database development and analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong statistical understanding; ability to convert analysis into insights and actionable plans
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally
