Oxford Academy Preschool located in Power Springs is looking for a qualified Lead Teacher for our Rising Pre-K program starting in June. We’re looking to retain this person as our PreK Lead for the next school year.
The purpose of the Rising Pre-K program is to provide a summer intensive academic program to support children who are registered to attend Georgia’s Pre-K for the 2023-2024 school year. Rising Pre-K is designed to support children whose home language is Spanish.
Timeline: 23 instructional day program (149.5 hours) offered in June and July. The proposed dates are June 5th – July 7th; however, providers may choose a start date that meets the needs of the families they serve.
Qualification:
- Minimum of Bachelor Degree and qualified to teach GA PreK
- Experience working with families of young children
- Experience working and teaching PreK
- Experience with GELDS and creating lesson plans
Is there a curriculum that is used during Rising Pre-K? STP teachers should use the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) to plan instructional activities. Programs may utilize the curriculum approved for their Georgia’s Pre-K class to supplement instruction.
