About the opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and talented Engineering Administrator to join our Asset Construction team.
This is a permanent, full-time position where you will provide engineering and high-level administrative support to the Asset Construction team.
Duties will include:
- scheduling construction programmes
- preparing councillor correspondence including VIP and customer enquiries/complaints
- supporting engineers to help maintain quality assurance documentation
- participating in project meetings
- processing contractor payments.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or a related field
- Solid experience in supporting construction project administration and deliverables
- Solid experience using computer software programs including Microsoft Office
- General knowledge of civil construction terms and activities
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
Desirable:
- Experience working within the civil construction industry.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,342.90 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Opportunity to participate in Council’s flextime arrangement
